BELOW ARE DETAILS OF OUR OVERLAND TRIP 2011/12.
Have a look at our other site www.vengavamos2.weebly.com about travels in Southern Africa.
By the way venga vamos means "come on lets go" in Spanish.
Sunday 8th April 2012 SPAIN
Well we are back in Spain trying to settle into a routine which is very difficult. Just find ourselves wanting to be somewhere else rather than at home.
The time flew by and we cannot believe we were away for almost 6 months.
Will put a few factoids on the site at some time and lots more photos.

HI and welcome .
This is our website about our travels across Africa.
We are David and Julie and in October or maybe November we plan to travel down the west coast of Africa down to Cape town in our Land Rover.
We got the Landy in February and drove it to Spain where we live and plan a few excursions to test things out over the next few months. We also have some alterations to make to the Landy.
We have hired vehicles in Southern Africa before on a self drive basis visiting Botswana,Namibia and Zimbabwe. These were some 10 years or so ago using Defenders fully equipped and hired from Safari Drive company.
So now we want to do it ourselves in our own vehicle and take our time.
Why do it? Why not. We may be a little mad as some of our friends think but hey we are going to give it a go.
We plan to update the site as we prepare for the trip and on our travels when the internet is available.
Why a website? So that family and friends can see where we are and what we are up to, create interest for armchair travellers and also enable other potential overlanders to learn from our experiences. The last point is important because we have spent hours and hours looking at other peoples sites, hopefully we can give something back to overlanders.
